Reiner Brauhardt is one of the most famous Aikido-Masters in Europe.As a pioneer of Aikido in Germany he started with this martial art more than 50 years ago. Since 1985 he has been a professional aikido-instructor and runs an aikido-school in Siegen.This ninth film of the series "Aikido Basics Vol.9" will introduce you to the Aiki-ken and Aiki-jo, techniques and forms with bokken and jo, the traditional wooden weapons of the Japanese Martial Arts.You will get to know basic stances with sword and stick, different levels of attack, ken-suburi and jo-suburi, exercises with partner with sword and stick, different Forms of kumi-tachi and kumi-jo as well as a jo-kata and a bokken-kata based on the basic techniques learned previously.In addition you will get an insight into the ken-tai-jo, using the stick against the sword, by working with a partner and a kata.Aiki-ken and Aiki-jo are important parts of a good and full Aikido education, but can also be integrated independently into other Budo-Arts.
