The software developer Autodesk is pleased to announce the availability of InfraWorks 2022.0.1. Base release adds improvements to its design, rendering and collaboration capabilities which include decorations for roads imported from Civil 3D, free form linear decorations (no road needed), new vegetation models, 3d bridge girders, Autodesk Docs model collaboration, and more.
What's New in Autodesk InfraWorks 2022.0
New Improvements for InfraWorks (2022) include enhancements to the component road decoration tool. InfraWorks allows users to add decorations to component roads or linked corridors from Civil 3D. The InfraWorks model will display the features immediately, helping to save time and effort.
You can choose from a large library of decoration to place along the corridor. Now users can create more realistic landscape environments to add to the model context. Watch the video below.
Full-span complex 3D bridge girder support
New enhancements for InfraWorks include new capability for bridge modelling providing for the definition of full span complex parametric 3D bridge girders.
Where there is a requirement to exchange the default girders provided by the heuristic rules, Autodesk® Inventor® can be used to define new complex parametric girders.
The expansion of bridge girder modeling capabilities enables designers to use and create their own complex 3D models of full span bridge girders to reflect requirements and LOD, making this traditionally difficult work much easier and quicker.

Enhancements to drive project efficiency
Last year, we introduced Project Explorer through the AEC Collection, transforming how users navigate, visualize, and interact with infrastructure design models in Civil 3D.
With the release of Civil 3D 2022, we've made two major updates to Project Explorer. First, we added pressure networks to the Civil 3D objects supported through the Project Explorer user interface. Project Explorer offers land development customers a more holistic view into the design data of their pressure network and enables them to extract that data into custom reports and dynamic AutoCAD tables.
In the update to Project Explorer, the interaction with the new pressure network tab will feel familiar if you have used the Pipe Networks tab in previous versions. One key difference to note: The Pressure pipe runs, which are supported in core Civil 3D, can be selected on the upper left corner of the Pressure Networks tab.
The second major update to Project Explorer is support for local languages - which is now on par with languages supported by Civil 3D. The Project Explorer user interface will be shown in the language that is detected in Windows. If Windows is set to use a language Project Explorer does not support, it will default to English.

For InfraWorks, Model Builder service makes a huge impact on project modeling by providing existing conditions and build model for quick conceptual modeling. In this release, this service is enhanced with new and streamlined interface to provide more consistent experience and improve usability.
Autodesk InfraWorks (2022 Hotfix 1 - September 2021)
Bridges and Tunnels
Fixed an issue in which custom decks would disappear when chaning the deck width from a slice.
Fixed a stability issue that could occur calculating super-elevation clearances when a deck was selected.
Fixed an issue in which bridge girders did not align properly with a stepped deck.
Fixed an issue in which the bridge deck content picker did not display content.
Fixed an issue in which the slice offset changed from Absolute to Relative when moved.
Fixed an issue in which girders could misalign when change deck width.
Fixed an issue in which a bridge deck slope calculated incorrectly when the road slope was zero percent.
Fixed an issue in which abutments skewed incorrectly when the ballast wall thickness was undefined.
Fixed an issue in which tunnel slices moved when a tunnel was modified.
Spreadsheets
Fixed an issue in which a bridge would not update after changing dimension in a spreadsheet.
Fixed an issue in which slice offsets would not update after changing dimension in a spreadsheet.
Fixed an issue in which a slice offsets would have different values when sent to a spreadsheet.
Added the ability to add and delete girder and deck slices using an exported spreadsheet.
Added the ability to update slice offsets to a spreadsheet and apply them in InfraWorks.
User Interface
Fixed an issue in which the Suitability Map Dialog would truncate when using the Activate Map drop-down menu.
Removed the Offset Lateral option from generic objects on terrain.
Added the ability for the content picker to allow part size changes for a cross frame or generic object set.
Made changes to the Part Sizes tab in the Configure Parametric Models dialog to better facilitate editing.
Revit Data Exchange
Fixed an issue in which stepped decks were segmented when imported into Revit.
Fixed an issue in which IMX data fails to import in Revit when the cross frame category is changed to bridge framing.
Fixed an issue in which box girders were imported into Revit as solid objects.
Quantities Reporting
Fixed an issue in which the Quantities panel failed to show information when a bridge cointained cross frames.
Autodesk InfraWorksis the geospatial and engineering BIM platform that enables parametric model-based planning and design of civil infrastructure in the context of the real-world. With InfraWorks users can more easily evaluate and convey design intent within the context of a project's surroundings; data can be aggregated from various sources and design decisions made earlier in the project lifecycle;~ then, the design model can be moved downstream to AutoCAD Civil 3D for detailed design and construction documentation with minimal loss of critical information - improving decision making, project stakeholder buy-in, and saving both time and money.
The latest release of InfraWorks now uses the power and precision of Civil 3D for corridor models. These upgrades include:
- Importing all calculated design elements or select elements of the Civil 3D corridor intoInfraWorks directly
- Define the mapping of materials to apply to the corridor shapes
- Placing corridors into their contextual environment
- Seamless updates to the road in InfraWorks when the Civil 3D corridor changes
- And more downstream benefit
