Lake Nemi is a small Italian volcanic lake, located on the Alban Hills in the Castelli Romani area, a tourist destination for the numerous archaeological finds found in the area, it is famous because near the lake there is the "museum of Roman ships" , where once between 1927 and 1932 two huge Roman ships celebrating the emperor Caligula were found in the lake, they were kept as a museum until their destruction in 1944 (by the Germans).
